Lennox furnace and AC repair is rarely a hard diagnosis — the complication is parts, because Lennox moves most of its components through its own parts stores rather than the general wholesalers that stock the other major brands. We service the Signature, Elite and Merit lines across Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the wider GTA, and we put the price in writing before anything comes apart. Carrier
Carrier furnace and AC repair splits three ways in the field, because the three tiers behave nothing alike: Comfort is a plain single-stage box, Performance is two-stage with conventional thermostat wiring, and Infinity is a fully communicating system built around a four-wire bus. We service all three plus the Bryant and Payne equipment that shares those platforms under a different badge. Trane
Trane furnace and AC repair usually starts at the outdoor unit, because the thing that makes a Trane condenser distinctive is also the thing homeowners damage: the all-aluminium Spine Fin coil. Indoors we service the S9V2-VS, S9X2 and XC95m furnaces and the ComfortLink II controls that tie them to an XV or XR condenser, along with the identical American Standard equipment. Goodman
Goodman furnace and AC repair is the least expensive brand work we do, and that is by design: Goodman builds to a price, uses common industry components rather than proprietary ones, and its parts sit on every wholesaler's shelf in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Most Goodman repairs land at $150–$450, and the diagnostic is $90–$150 credited toward the fix. What you should watch is the warranty fine print, not the reliability.

Rheem is unusual in that one badge covers your furnace, your air conditioner and your water heater, so Rheem furnace, AC and water heater repair often means three different conversations in the same mechanical room. Amana
Amana furnace and AC repair is mechanically the same work as its sister brand's, because Amana and Goodman are built by the same manufacturer on shared platforms — what you are paying extra for on an Amana is a heavier cabinet, more sound insulation and a materially better warranty. That warranty is the reason this page exists: on select Amana gas furnaces, a failed heat exchanger gets you a replacement furnace rather than a replacement part. KeepRite furnace repair is usually straightforward work, because KeepRite equipment is built by International Comfort Products, a Carrier company, and shares its igniters, pressure switches and control boards with Tempstar, Heil and Comfortmaker. Three status codes come up again and again on Bryant no-heat calls: 31, 33 and 34. Payne furnace and AC repair is Carrier repair under a different badge: a Payne PG-series furnace uses Carrier control boards, Carrier two-digit status codes and Carrier-family parts, so a technician who works on Carrier or Bryant equipment can fix it. Most Payne furnace repairs cost $150–$800, with a $90–$150 diagnostic visit credited toward the repair if you go ahead. If someone tells you a Payne cannot be repaired because parts are unavailable, get a second opinion before you buy a furnace.

Tempstar furnace and AC repair draws on the same parts shelf as KeepRite, Heil, Comfortmaker and Arcoaire, because all five are built by International Comfort Products (ICP), a Carrier company. In Ontario that matters: KeepRite is the ICP badge local wholesalers stock, parts cross-reference by ICP part number, and the KeepRite-boxed part fits a Tempstar. Most Tempstar furnace repairs run $150–$800. On a 9x% condensing model, check the condensate trap and the collector-box hose before paying for a pressure switch.

Luxaire
Luxaire furnace and AC repair follows the York service manual, because Luxaire, York and Coleman are sister brands on one platform: a Luxaire Acclimate LP9C is the same modulating furnace as a York Affinity YP9C. Parts are York parts sold under the Source 1 name. On the control board, 2 or 3 red flashes point to the pressure switch, 4 to an open high limit and 7 to an ignition lockout. Coleman
Coleman furnace and AC repair on this page means Coleman Heating & Air Conditioning: residential gas furnaces and central air conditioners built on the York platform, including the older Coleman furnaces found in manufactured homes. It does not cover Coleman camping heaters or RV rooftop air conditioners, which are different products from different makers and which we do not service. A Coleman Echelon furnace is the York Affinity under another badge and takes York Source 1 parts. Furnace repairs generally fall in the $150–$800 range.

Armstrong Air
Armstrong Air furnace and AC repair runs through the Lennox family's supply chain: Armstrong Air is made by Allied Air Enterprises, a Lennox International company, alongside Ducane, AirEase and Concord. Expect $150–$800 for most furnace repairs. On warranty, the rule is 60 days: registered in that window, an Armstrong Air furnace carries a limited lifetime heat exchanger warranty and 10 years on parts; unregistered, it defaults to 20 years and 5 years. In both cases the warranty supplies the part and the owner pays the labour.

Continental furnace and AC repair, installation and warranty questions tend to start the same way: the dealer who put the furnace in has closed, and nobody you call recognizes the badge. Continental is the sister brand of Napoleon, warranted by Wolf Steel Ltd. of Barrie, Ontario, so any TSSA-licensed technician who works on Napoleon can work on yours. Daikin heat pump and AC repair is inverter work, not conventional compressor work — almost everything in the current range runs a variable-speed inverter compressor, so the diagnostics live in the electronics and the refrigerant charge has to be exact rather than approximately right. We service ducted Daikin Fit systems, wall-mounted ductless heads and Daikin-badged gas furnaces across Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton. Bosch heat pump repair differs from conventional AC work in one important way: the outdoor unit contains an inverter drive, so diagnosis is about reading the board's fault history rather than jumping a contactor. Mitsubishi

Fujitsu
Fujitsu heat pump repair begins by reading the indoor unit's lights: Fujitsu reports faults as a blink count on the Operation and Timer lamps, and a technician can put the system into self-diagnosis mode to pull the code without a laptop. Gree mini-split and heat pump repair and installation calls usually come down to three display codes: E6 for lost communication, F0 for low refrigerant and H6 for an indoor fan that is not turning. H1 is not on that list, because H1 is the defrost cycle and clears by itself. Senville mini-split repair and installation service is work many contractors decline, because the unit came from a website and not from their own supplier. Rinnai tankless repair starts with the code on the display, because Rinnai is unusually good at telling you what is wrong — including an LC family of codes that exists purely to warn you the heat exchanger is scaling up. Noritz
Noritz tankless water heater repair and service usually begins with a two-digit code on the remote: 11 or 12 for ignition and flame, 16 for overheating, 29 for a blocked condensate neutralizer. A. O. Smith
A. O. Smith water heater repair and replacement depends first on which kind of tank is in your basement: atmospheric gas, power vent, electric or hybrid heat pump, because each one fails differently. Navien combi boiler repair is a no-heat call first and a hot-water call second: the NCB-E, NCB-H and NFC combis make both from one wall-hung cabinet, so a single failed part can take out the radiators, the taps or both. If the taps run hot and the house is cold, the 3-way valve is the first suspect; E302 on the display means the heating loop has lost pressure, and E003 means the burner did not light. Viessmann boiler repair on the Vitodens wall-hung boilers comes down to three things: a burner fault from worn electrodes or a blocked condensate trap, a heating loop that has lost pressure or filled with air, or a heat exchanger nobody has opened in years. NTI boiler repair and service comes down to three areas on a Trinity condensing boiler: ignition, condensate and airflow. An older Trinity Ti that locks out on ignition nearly always needs a new igniter and flame rod and a cleaned burner, not a new boiler. The diagnostic visit is $90–$150, credited to the repair, and a condensing boiler should be opened, cleaned and tested with a combustion analyzer every year.

IBC boiler repair and service is something ZK Mechanical does, and that is worth stating because IBC is a British Columbia brand that not every Ontario heating company works on. The touchscreen spells out the fault in words, and the two we are called for most are an ignition failure after three tries and a water high-limit error. Weil-McLain boiler repair and service depends on which of two very different machines is in your basement: a cast-iron CGa, CGi or EG that will fire for decades on small repairs, or an aluminium Ultra or stainless Evergreen condensing boiler that needs cleaning and water treatment every year. Hisense
Hisense rooftop unit (RTU) installation and service is work ZK Mechanical has already done: we have installed Hisense rooftop condensing units on a commercial roof, and the job is documented with photos. Before you approve a less-common rooftop brand, get three answers in writing: who stocks parts in Ontario and how long they take, who registers the warranty, and who commissions the equipment. If any of the three is vague, choose a brand your service contractor can get parts for within a day or two. We price Hisense rooftop work in writing after a roof visit, because the lift, the curb and the utility reconnections decide the number.

Carrier rooftop unit (RTU) repair and service on a gas-heat Weather-series unit begins at one small board: the Integrated Gas Controller, or IGC, flashes an LED code that separates a limit trip from a flame rollout, an inducer fault or an ignition lockout. Lennox
Lennox rooftop unit (RTU) repair and service starts with the unit controller's alarm history. Energence units log alarm codes on a Prodigy M2 or M3 controller and newer Lennox rooftops use the CORE controller, so we can usually tell whether a no-heat call is ignition, airflow or a sensor before a tool comes out. ZK Mechanical services Lennox Energence, Landmark, L Series and Strategos rooftops across Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, Mississauga and the west GTA. Call the same day for no heat in freezing weather, a gas smell or a breaker that will not stay set; a noisy belt or a stuck damper can be scheduled, but not left for the season.

Trane RTU
Trane rooftop unit (RTU) repair and service starts at the controller: Precedent and Voyager units run on the ReliaTel module set or the newer Symbio 700, which report the failed circuit before a panel comes off, while smaller Foundation units use plain electromechanical controls. Trane's current light-commercial range covers 3 to 25 tons in Precedent and Foundation and 27.5 to 50 tons in Voyager 3. Rooftop work is priced per unit in a written quote after a site visit. As a rule, repair a unit under 15 years old whose compressor and heat exchanger are sound, and price a replacement once either of those fails on an older machine.

Aprilaire
Aprilaire humidifier repair and installation is mostly about water: either none is reaching the Water Panel, or it is ending up somewhere it should not. We repair and install the Aprilaire 500 and 600 bypass models, the 700 fan-powered unit and the 800 steam humidifier across Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Hamilton and the west GTA. A new Water Panel costs about $20–$40 and belongs in the unit every fall. If a repair quote comes close to the $500–$900 that a new bypass humidifier costs installed, replace the unit.

Honeywell Home
Honeywell thermostat installation and troubleshooting usually turns on one wire. The Wi-Fi models (T6 Pro Smart, T9, T10 Pro) need a C-wire for constant 24 V power, and a wall with only four conductors needs an adapter at the furnace or a new cable. A blank or misbehaving thermostat starts as a $90–$150 diagnostic, folded into the repair if you proceed. Installation is quoted in writing once we have seen the cable, because the cable decides the job.

ecobee
ecobee thermostat installation and troubleshooting is mostly furnace-side work. An ecobee has no batteries, so it needs steady 24 V between R and C, and where the wall has no C-wire the Power Extender Kit (PEK) is wired at the furnace control board, not behind the thermostat. If your ecobee has gone dark, the cause is nearly always lost power from the equipment, and finding it is a $90–$150 diagnostic folded into the fix. New installs are quoted in writing after we see the cable and the equipment.

Google Nest
Google Nest thermostat installation and troubleshooting comes back to power more often than anything else. A Nest with no C-wire keeps itself charged by drawing small amounts of current through the heating and cooling wires, and when that is not enough you get low-battery warnings, Wi-Fi drop-outs or a furnace that chatters and short-cycles. The lasting fix is a C-wire or a Nest Power Connector at the furnace. A Nest showing E73, E74 or E195 has lost power on an R wire, which usually means a tripped float switch or a blown furnace fuse, and tracing it is a $90–$150 diagnostic.

Lifebreath
Lifebreath HRV and ERV repair and service is nearly always one of three jobs: a defrost fault that lets the core ice up or leaves the unit stuck recirculating, a fan motor that has gone noisy or seized, or a core, filters and outdoor hoods plugged with lint. Repair makes sense when the cabinet and core are sound and the failed part is a motor, a damper or a sensor. Venmar & vanEE
Venmar and vanEE HRV repair and service is one job under two badges: both names come from Venmar Ventilation in Quebec, part of Broan-NuTone, and the same motors, damper actuators and cores sit behind either one. The faults are predictable. A defrost actuator fails and the core freezes in a cold snap, a fan motor or its capacitor quits, or the wall control flashes and the unit will not change speed. We diagnose for $90–$150, folded into the repair, and tell you plainly when an obsolete motor makes replacement the better spend.
