Furnaces & air conditioners

Lennox
Lennox furnace and AC repair is rarely a hard diagnosis — the complication is parts, because Lennox moves most of its components through its own parts stores rather than the general wholesalers that stock the other major brands. We service the Signature, Elite and Merit lines across Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the wider GTA, and we put the price in writing before anything comes apart. Most Lennox repairs land in the $150–$800 range, on top of a $90–$150 diagnostic that we credit toward the work if you go ahead.

Carrier
Carrier furnace and AC repair splits three ways in the field, because the three tiers behave nothing alike: Comfort is a plain single-stage box, Performance is two-stage with conventional thermostat wiring, and Infinity is a fully communicating system built around a four-wire bus. We service all three plus the Bryant and Payne equipment that shares those platforms under a different badge. The diagnostic is $90–$150 and comes off the repair if you proceed; most Carrier repairs finish inside $150–$800.

Trane
Trane furnace and AC repair usually starts at the outdoor unit, because the thing that makes a Trane condenser distinctive is also the thing homeowners damage: the all-aluminium Spine Fin coil. Indoors we service the S9V2-VS, S9X2 and XC95m furnaces and the ComfortLink II controls that tie them to an XV or XR condenser, along with the identical American Standard equipment. Expect a $90–$150 diagnostic credited toward the repair, with most Trane repairs in the $150–$800 band.

Goodman
Goodman furnace and AC repair is the least expensive brand work we do, and that is by design: Goodman builds to a price, uses common industry components rather than proprietary ones, and its parts sit on every wholesaler's shelf in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. Most Goodman repairs land at $150–$450, and the diagnostic is $90–$150 credited toward the fix. What you should watch is the warranty fine print, not the reliability.

Rheem
Rheem is unusual in that one badge covers your furnace, your air conditioner and your water heater, so Rheem furnace, AC and water heater repair often means three different conversations in the same mechanical room. We service all three families, including the Ruud-badged equipment built alongside them. Heating, cooling and water heater repairs all run $150–$800, on top of a $90–$150 diagnostic we take off the bill once the repair is approved.

York
York furnace and AC repair covers more houses than the name suggests, because York shares its platforms with Coleman, Luxaire and the Fraser-Johnston badge that was sold widely in Ontario for decades. If your rating plate reads any of those, the parts and the procedures on this page apply to you. Most York repairs land in the $150–$800 range, with a $90–$150 diagnostic credited toward the repair if you go ahead.

Amana
Amana furnace and AC repair is mechanically the same work as its sister brand's, because Amana and Goodman are built by the same manufacturer on shared platforms — what you are paying extra for on an Amana is a heavier cabinet, more sound insulation and a materially better warranty. That warranty is the reason this page exists: on select Amana gas furnaces, a failed heat exchanger gets you a replacement furnace rather than a replacement part. Repair pricing sits in the usual $150–$800 band, and the $90–$150 diagnostic comes off the invoice when you proceed.

KeepRite
KeepRite furnace repair is usually straightforward work, because KeepRite equipment is built by International Comfort Products, a Carrier company, and shares its igniters, pressure switches and control boards with Tempstar, Heil and Comfortmaker. We diagnose, repair and replace KeepRite furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps throughout Halton, Hamilton and the wider GTA. Most of what fails on these units is ignition or venting related and lands in the $150–$450 band. The diagnostic visit is $90–$150 and comes off the invoice once you approve the repair.

Napoleon
Napoleon furnace repair is work any TSSA-licensed gas technician can do properly; the part that trips people up is sourcing, because Napoleon HVAC parts move through the brand's own distribution rather than sitting on every wholesale counter. We service, tune and replace Napoleon furnaces and air conditioners in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and across the GTA. Common faults are ignition, venting and blower related, and a repair here typically runs $150–$800 after a $90–$150 diagnostic that comes off the bill if you go ahead.
Repair, install & warranty →Heat pumps & ductless

Daikin
Daikin heat pump and AC repair is inverter work, not conventional compressor work — almost everything in the current range runs a variable-speed inverter compressor, so the diagnostics live in the electronics and the refrigerant charge has to be exact rather than approximately right. We service ducted Daikin Fit systems, wall-mounted ductless heads and Daikin-badged gas furnaces across Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton. Repairs run $150–$800 with a $90–$150 diagnostic credited toward the work.

Bosch
Bosch heat pump repair differs from conventional AC work in one important way: the outdoor unit contains an inverter drive, so diagnosis is about reading the board's fault history rather than jumping a contactor. We service and install Bosch Home Comfort inverter heat pumps and Greentherm tankless water heaters across Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the GTA. Repairs typically run $150–$800, and a cold-climate heat pump replacement sits at $9,500–$15,000 before Ontario rebates of up to $7,500.

Mitsubishi
Mitsubishi heat pump repair is mostly about three things we see over and over: condensate drainage at the indoor head, refrigerant leaking at a flare joint, and communication faults between the indoor and outdoor units. We service and install Mitsubishi Electric ductless and ducted heat pumps across Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the GTA. A single-zone system installs for $4,000–$7,000; most repairs land between $150 and $800.

Fujitsu
Fujitsu heat pump repair begins by reading the indoor unit's lights: Fujitsu reports faults as a blink count on the Operation and Timer lamps, and a technician can put the system into self-diagnosis mode to pull the code without a laptop. We service and install Fujitsu Airstage ductless and ducted heat pumps in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the GTA. Single-zone systems install for $4,000–$7,000 and most repairs sit in the $150–$800 range.
Repair, install & warranty →Tankless water heaters

Navien
Navien tankless repair almost always comes down to one of three things: scale in the heat exchanger from our hard lake water, a vent or condensate path that is blocked or frozen, or an ignition fault the unit reports as an E-code on its front panel. We service, descale, repair and replace Navien NPE tankless heaters and NCB combi units for homes in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the rest of the GTA. A repair typically runs $150–$800; an annual descale flush is $150–$300.

Rinnai
Rinnai tankless repair starts with the code on the display, because Rinnai is unusually good at telling you what is wrong — including an LC family of codes that exists purely to warn you the heat exchanger is scaling up. We repair, descale and replace Rinnai tankless water heaters throughout Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and the GTA. Most repairs land at $150–$800, and the annual descale that prevents most of them is $150–$300.
