How pricing works
Why are HVAC prices given as ranges?
The part, the brand of equipment and how hard it is to reach all move the price. A blower motor is $500–$1,500 because an ECM motor costs several times what a PSC motor does. The diagnostic visit ($90–$150) pins down which end of the range your repair sits at, and you get that number in writing before any work starts.
Does ZK Mechanical charge extra for nights, weekends or holidays?
No. There is no overtime, weekend or holiday surcharge. The price on the written quote is the price on the invoice, whether the call comes in on a Tuesday afternoon or on the emergency line at 2 AM.
Is the diagnostic fee refunded if I go ahead with the repair?
Yes. The $90–$150 diagnostic visit is credited toward the repair when you proceed, so you pay it only if you decide not to have the work done.
Do these prices include rebates?
No. They are prices before rebates. Current Ontario programs return $500–$7,500 depending on the system, mostly on heat pumps, and ZK Mechanical files the paperwork as part of the job.
The quote is the invoice.
Written price before any work starts. No overtime charges.
